| Simple Ways to Help Your School From Home Morley will again be collecting Box Tops for Education Campbell‘s Labels, and aluminum can tabs in an effort to raise funds for the school. Consider these fun and easy ways to help Morley receive additional funding for our educational endeavors. At the end of the 2009-10 school year, Morley received about $800 from Box Tops to enhance education at Morley School. This is basically free money to help the school and the education of our children.
Box TopsTo continue this tradition of fundraising, look for the little Box Tops logo on any of hundreds of popular products from famous brands such as General Mills, Betty Crocker, Pillsbury, Ziploc, Natur
e Valley, Old El Paso, Yoplait and dozens more. Bring in your Box Tops (the tops should be current and the expiration date readable) to the appropriate classroom containers. You can also shop for merchandise online through www.boxtops4education.com. Click on the Earn tab and choose Shop Marketplace. You must start with the Box Tops site and navigate to your favorite store. Choose from many popular online stores such as Barnes and Noble, JCPenney‘s, Land‘s End, Old Navy, Gap, Cabelas, and many more. Morley will earn a percentage (1 - 8%) of what you spend. Questions may be directed to Tasha Dahlberg, Box Tops chair.
Campbell's Foods
By saving the UPC labels from your favorite Campbell‘s foods (Campbell‘s Soup, V8, Prego sauces, Pepperidge Farm Foods, and Swanson brands), you help our school get free merchandise. Bring your labels to school and place in the appropriate classroom container. Labels must include the UPC code. The more labels we collect, the more points we earn that are redeemable for school supplies and gym equipment. Questions may be directed to Sarah Burden, Campbell's Labels Chair.
Aluminum Can Tabs
Finally, we are collecting aluminum can tabs to help the fourth grade classes meet an objective of being able to visually see one million of something. According Mrs. Schwartz, a million tabs were collected in her 14-year tenure. Our current barrel has an estimated over 300,000 tabs, and our new barrel is about one quarter full. Once we reach one million tabs, our PTO will donate the proceeds from recycling them to a worthy charitable organization.
